This is my first attempt at blogging! I have tried to avoid it, moving with the times and all, but if I want to stay on top of things I suppose I need to be in the technology loop. I don't have an iPhone, have never used an iPad, no Twitter account (yet..?). I once thought I was tech savvy but you blink for a second and the world changes!
Anyway a bit about Behind The Veil... For now it is a vision. A goal, a dream. I can see it so vividly, but for now it is still a work in progress. I see it as being more than a photographic studio. It is a place where women (and men too) can come to have some fun and feel beautiful and sexy, no matter their shape, size or age. The images created have a dark, moody, artistic feel to them - nothing nasty or tacky!

The idea came to me when I was thinking about what sort of wedding gift to give my fiance. Whilst overseas I came across and ad for a boudoir style album and thought it would make the perfect gift - a little indulgence for me and a great gift for my man, that we could both look back on for years to come. Not to mention the possibility of getting a couple's shoot done in future.
So I began the search for a boudoir photography studio in Melbourne that offered something similar. I found a number of places offering boudoir shoots in different styles. But the girls in the photos looked like supermodels. Or had massively fake breasts covered in oil, wearing barely-there strips of cloth (Ok for some, not really my thing!!). Or the studio was too expensive.
So I thought, something needs to be done about this! And I'm doing it.
Now, I am no supermodel! I have my flaws! But I believe I am beautiful, and so is every woman. I want to capture that. I want to offer that experience to all women from all walks of life.
